Runes

Runes

Invocation

I honor your gods.
I drink at your well.
I bring an undefended heart
to our meeting place.
I have no cherished outcomes.
I will not negotiate by withholding.
I am not subject to disappointment.

People all over this country, from all walks of life, are experiencing the intense desire to be filled by Spirit. We are being moved to become, in our own right, oracular voices for a power greater than ourselves. Moreover, we are living in a time when secret teachings are at last being made available to the general public.

The Runes are proving helpful to therapists and members of various Twelve-Step Programs, as well as to religious leaders of different persuasions. People from all walks of life, living on three continents, and coming from a broad spectrum of ethnic backgrounds, have found The Runes to be user-friendly and spiritually sound. The Book of Runes is intended as a handbook for the Spiritual Warrior.

Free of anxiety, radically alone and unattached to outcomes, the Spiritual Warrior practices absolute trust in the struggle for awareness, and is constantly mindful that what matters is to have a true presence. It takes a long time to grow in wisdom, to say nothing of the time it takes to learn to think well. Following the Warrior Way is not for everyone, although it is available to all who are willing to undergo its challenges. To embark on this path is to cultivate the Witness Self, the Watcher Within, the one who can profitably converse with the Runes.

Perhaps the most powerful feature of the Runes as an Oracle is their potential use as an intuitive trainer, enabling you to serve your highest good, the Will of the Divine. Western cultures are largely deficient in their training of nonlinear, imaginative thinking. It may be that the training of Sacred Intuition - a new way of listening for that inner voice - is the primary function of the Runes.

If you are interested in learning more about the Runes, a book that I highly recommend is "The Book of Rune Cards" by Ralph Blum and encourage you to support your local bookstore in your purchase. Thank you.
